While You Were Out...

When the husband is away the girls will play.....

Justin was in Texas for our yearly Budget Blinds Convention so I had to take over the role of "fun parent".  He bought us roses and away he went, of course Brynn's comment was, "dad's gone...Where's the IPAD!!"

Luckily the girls did some of this

And of course we ate some of this.

These two lovely ladies heard we were partying and came up to join in

Of course we had to hit up the carousel

We had sleepovers (even in our king my girls were kicking me), movie nights, hung out at the mall, and went swimming at grandmas hotel.  It was wonderful to have Em and my mom up.  My mom even got to go to  preschool with Addie.  Now that Justin's back I can go back to the role of nasty mean mother.  It's exhausting being the fun parent :)

Our New Years Adventure...

As we started our travels to SLC we were naive to think that all was well.  We loaded up and drove the five hours to Dillon where the roads were closed.  We got a hotel room and made a party out of it.

The next morning they opened up the roads at noon and away we went.  First stop the zoo lights for a chilly, but spectacular walk around the zoo.

Then we checked into our swanky and modern Marriott

And had ourselves an outta control New Years Party....

Okay so most of us barely made it to midnight.  It was a wonderful (but short) trip to SLC.
